Zymox Equine Defense Cream is recommended for the care and management of wounds and deep epidermal skin infections. Contains the patented LP3 Enzyme System which helps support the bodys natural defenses along with a gently soothing hypoallergenic base to assure skin and tissues remain soft and hydrated to obtain optimal healing ability. Non-toxic, steroid-free, antibiotic-free; will not harm healthy tissue.Each enzyme in the LP3 Enzyme System has its own unique properties and, when combined, pack a powerful antimicrobial punch. These enzymes are found naturally in milk and are 100% safe and gentle. For years it has been known that milk has a natural ability to kill bacteria, viruses and yeast. Only recently has the protein and enzyme system responsible been identified and reproduced. The three most effective are Lactoperoxidase, Lysozyme and Lactoferrin, which this product contains.Directions: Gently clean affected area. Apply once daily for 1-2 weeks. May be lightly covered with sterile bandage.Made in the USA.
