The Yukon has more purchase than a traditional shorter shanked bit. This encourages ideal break at the poll while the shorter shank allows the bit to be more forgiving and encourage lateral movement. The slow twist correction port is a very good all-around mouthpiece. It is slightly more aggressive over the bars, which is helpful for a horse that wants to push on the rider. The port provides the benefit of collection, while the swivel encourages flex and bend throughout the body.
