The Laramie has a swept back cheek and a tear drop loop at the rein, which provides a very forgiving and slower pull. The shanks features give a pre-signal for the horse when they feel the rein slide. This keeps the rider from having to engage as directly. The slow twist correction port is a very good all-around mouthpiece. It is slightly more aggressive over the bars, which is helpful for a horse that wants to push on the rider. The port provides the benefit of collection, while the swivel encourages flex and bend throughout the body.
