The rubber covered mouthpiece is gentler on horses and strengthens acceptance of the bit by encouraging chewing and salivation. The loose ring style cheekpieces encourage self carriage by providing more play in the bit and discourages leaning on the rider's hands. This bit is a popular choice for starting young horses, but is also a great choice for horses with more sensitive mouths. This bit is competition legal for most dressage classes where a snaffle bit is allowed.
