Hi all, I just started riding my almost 4 year old Haflinger/Belgian cross mare. And she does a very strange thing with her top lip- she points it out the whole time we are riding! I was told when I bought her a few months ago that she was Amish broke to harness, but don't have the right sized equipment for her (yet). She does act vey nervous when you mount and dismount; so last night I just did that over and over and she seemed to settle down. I ride English, and use a mild snaffle bit; I always take it slow and easy when starting them. So, is she just nervous or is something hurting or bothering her? She is very healthy, runs and plays in the pasture etc. Thanks for your ideas!
