Some pics from Caribbean cruise
  • First pics are from Barbados.
  • A flower growing up high on the side of the building.
  • An old plantation home.
  • The walls are 2 feet thick for insulation and to withstand hurricanes.
  • LOTS of old "buggies" in the cellar.
  • And another. Sorry. I don't know why I can't get more than one picture to a post.
  • A side saddle.
  • The next of these are St. Lucia (Saint Loosha). The buildings are made of stone and/or brick depending upon who was in power at the time. Stone was used by the French as ballast on the trips over then taken out to load cargo. Brick was used by the English. This building (which used to be a fort and is now a college) was begun by the French (lower stone) and finished by the English (brick above).
  • Some flowers from the rain forest on St. Lucia.
  • More interesting flowers.
  • A free stone stream - rain forest.
  • A foot bridge over the stream.
  • Colorful Antigua. I think I could live there.
  • A sugar mill - Weathering hurricanes for about 400 years. They are not allowed to tear them down but can live in them.
  • So many shades of blue. (And the picture does not do it justice)
