His mama was a paint while his sire was a foundation quarter horse. When I got the saddle I didnt think I would like it very well, its just not made like I'm use to but it rides really nice. I took him out this afternoon and you can see by how wet his is that it is unseasonably warm here today with high humidity. Wouldn't think it with this wind gusting 30mph! I just wanted to see if he would sidepass over a pole since I have yet to work on that and he did it so as reward we headed down in the pasture, checked the last 4 cows, let him eat some green grass, up and down a few hills then back home. I like the way it sits and feels but he needs more time under it for me to see if it is going to really work for him. He seemed tense today but I'm not sure if it was the saddle or the weather and riding alone. Think I'll take him to the bigger arena this week since she gave me a free day for helping her and that way I can put him through all his manouvers and see what feels right and what doesn't. Did that make sense? LOL I'm so tired!!![
