• danastark Posted : 6/27/2009 2:38:37 AM Another hot, sweaty afternoon of gardening, trying to get the area around my pool looking decent.  I'm going for a tropical theme.  Finished planting everything I recently bought and spread 13 bags of bark chips around some of it, looking good but it's amazing how fast those bags go!  Got some pretty hibiscus today on sale.  I think it's one of my favorite flowers.  I had one called "Hula Girl" that was huge and yellow but Skyler apparently liked it too and killed it off so since I haven't found another Hula Girl yet, today I got another gorgeous one called Carolina Breeze.  The coloring is just spectacular.  My other hibiscus are really starting to go, can't remember their names   Carolina Breeze           Duranta       Skyler was working hard in the shade!  You can see his poor, little "big!" shaved ear! • trainer101 Posted : 6/27/2009 4:04:44 AM oh my you can just see the arnery in that little hounds eyes!!  Dana those flowers are beautiful.  I would love to see how you are arranging them around the pool.  Are you doing a full spread of flowers or going in a pattern?  Either way I love that peach color. • danastark Posted : 6/27/2009 4:04:59 AM Yep, they bloom all year 'round here if you water them.  I seriously need to get a drip system installed but haven't for fear that Skyler will destroy it but at least right now I'm off so everything is getting watered very well and starting to go.
