Big Brothers Big Sisters of North Texas and the YMCA of Metropolitan Dallas have partnered together to provide unlimited guest access to all YMCA branches where the Bigs and the Littles can hang out and do fun activities together.
Big Brothers Big Sisters is an organization that has been helping children from about 100 years to thrive and succeed in life. They are known to be the largest mentoring group in the U.S who have been making meaningful, monitored matches between adult volunteers and children between the ages 6 though 18 in communities across the world. They have been succeeding in making positive relationships that have a direct and lasting effect on the young minds.
The YMCA is a great place where the Big Brother or Big Sister can nurture their relationship with the Little and offer activities such as swimming, court sports, wellness classes, monthly fun nights and more. This partnership works in a very simple way. The Big just needs to show his Big Brothers Big Sisters membership card to the YMCA branch Welcome center with their contact information on one side and the other has the Little#%92s information.
The YMCA requires that the Little and the Big, both should together benefit from the partnership. Neither the Big nor the Little can use the YMCA without the presence of their partner, unless they have a membership.
