well Europe was beautiful, but a totally different country from the United States......like alot.
Anyhow our tour started in London England, the first night we took a walk around the city and took pictures and tried to make ourselves tired so we could sleep lol we had our concert in a garden near the Thames river, it was very nice, the weather was beautiful and the British are very enthusiastic, we saw the Buckingham Palace and Westminister Abby and Windsor(which was first and we saw the castle in Windsor, very cute little town) the next day was our concert in the garden but first we made a stop at Wesley's Chapel, very cute and alot of history, our choir got to sing there, it was awesome, the next day was off to the Tower of London! we were led around by our charming tour guide Trudy who lives in England, she was the funniest. friendly-est person i have ever met, she told us about all the things that happened in the Tower and all the kings killed in the tower, it was an alarming number the 4 or 5 i think...all beheaded, anyhow then we moved on to the crown jewels, which were gorgeous, however pictures were not allowed and i didnt want to cross those guys in the red suits and big hats...they are way more intimidating in
erson, anyhow they were gorgeous, i dont think on the crowns that there was a single surface not covered by a jewel it was crazy, after that we went on the the Buckingham Palace, St. Paul's Cathedral, Westminister Cathedral, Big Ben, The bridge blah blah blah, everything was huge and gorgeous, the architecture is amazing there, the next day we were off to Paris, we had to ride a ferry there, across the English Channel, and i have never been on a boat before...i was
roud of myself i didnt get sick lol, we then drove forever to get to Paris, it was very nice though the non-city part of Paris is very gorgeous, the food in Paris was very good by the way and the wine was delicious, i found however on the second night that red wine makes me sick, just like my mother....anyhow the next day was Montmartre a tourist place with a church on top very very gorgeous lost of shopping and pickpocketers...lol then on the the Louvre...WOW the Louvre was gorgeous, enourmous though, i saw the Mona Lisa, the Winged Victory, The Venus de Milo and all of that awesome stuff...the Mona Lisa is...different on tv or in books, she may be smiling but her eyes are so sad, she is beautiful though, moving on lol the next day was the Eiffel Tower, one word: HUGE we went during the day so it wasnt all lighted up but it was staggaring none the less, next was our concert, the French not so enthusiastic...very rude people, but its ok cause our concert was in the Luxembourg Gardens, very beautiful place,
the next day we left Paris and were on to Switzerland, my Lord Switzerland was beautiful! my favorite place out of all of the countries, the next morning we were let loose in Switzerland a friend and i decided to ride the cable cars up the mountain absolutly gorgeous the Alps are, then we went to the Castle of Chillon very old, and small...lol but interesting with its history, then we walked like 3 miles and did some shopping, had to stop at McDonalds for some french fries i was dying lol, then we had our concert that night, the Swiss are extremly friendly happy people, the next day was off to the Matterhorn, the goofy looking mountain peak lol we got pictures taken with the St. Bernards, and there i bought swiss army knives for my grandfather and my boyfriend, that was an all day thing, then back to our hotel where we had a cheese fondue party with swiss dancing, and i was chosen by one of the dancers to go up and do the polka! it was so much fun! the next day we left however i was sad..i love switzerland, we stopped in Liechtenstein for the day then onward to Austria, where we toured all day the next day and went to the swarovski store, it is famous for its crystal, and i spent 100 dollars [
] but i got something nice for myself and my grandmother(who about died when i gave it to her) then we had our concert that night, Austrians were enthusiastic but they didnt beat the Swiss plus we didnt really notice it was so hot on the stage all we wanted to do was get off, lol the next day was a visit to Venice, Italy, and boy oh boy was it hot, holy cow we walked around then went to the glass blowing factory which was extremly cool, we got to see how the glass was made (and very expensive) but the factory was air conditioned so we stayed a while lol, after that a few friends and I hunted down a pizza place, omg amazing pizza just blew me away, after i ate it i knew why it was 13 euros a pizza, and in Venice the locals dont call it Venice it is called Venezia....interesting tid bit there,
next day on to Germany, thank God cause Austria was hot, lol we stayed in a little town called Rothenburg, it was contained i guess by a wall that you could walk on and it only took about half an hour to walk the whole thing. The next day was our last day, and we had it free, a couple of friends and i decided to try the brawtworst and it was AMAZING then we shopped a little before our last concert(again no one beats the swiss im telling you)
then after the concert we had time to say good-bye to our new friends and get phone numbers and such then the next day we left for home. Wow that is alot lol, well if you make it this far let me tell you i defiantly appriciate America cause in London and some places in the other countries you had to pay to use a public bathroom, there was no such thing as air conditioning until we reached Austria, or ice, they have a thing against ice, while we were driving in Germany in the hottest part of the day the air in our coach decides to go out, oh my lord it was so so so hot on that bus, despite those minor details Europe was a blast and definatly an experiance, i recommend it lol, since this post is really long the picture will come in the next one lol
