• DaneHaven Posted : 12/27/2023 1:05:42 PM We are still waiting for our second calf to be born. Momma looks terribly big and uncomfortable. Our partners had a bull calf born Christmas morning. Horses finally got turned out yesterday noon. A bit premature but they were ready to be out. Neighbors are out of town so getting eggs from their chickens and feeding their cows. Temps down to 30* at night but we have had great weather up until now including the rain. Another 1-1/2 put us just under the yearly average. I hope everyone is having a great last week of 2023. • studeclunker Posted : 12/27/2023 10:53:28 PM The promised rain arrived right on time here in Fawn Lodge.  It began to pour at dawn.  One of my windows came unlatched and was loudly flapping.  Thankfully it was thoughtful enough not to do that before it was time to get up anyway.  The riser bar broke out and I have to fix it.  In the meantime, I have a flappy little window.  This has happened before.  Ah, the joys of living in a seventy-one year old Trailer-home.   Trying to figure a way to get across the valley to Oak Run before the first.  We shall see...
