Transport Strasburg, VA to State College, PA 8/22
  • First - I'm sorry I've not been around in months.  I've gotten very involved in rescue work and after some people started dumping dogs in the yard and one of my 'spayed' foster dogs delivered a litter of puppies, things got nuts!  We had 30 dogs at one point.  We're down to about half of that now and I'm pushing hard to get the other 7 adopted out.

Hubby has another surgery this Friday.  Not sure how much they're doing yet, as the surgeon has seen the x-rays of the damage in his neck yet.  At this point, lower back surgery with the possibiity of correcting the damaged area in his neck.

Anyway, of the surprise litter of puppies, the last is going to his forever home on 8/22.  I'll be driving up the night of the 21st.  Unfortunately my hotels don't let me have dogs.  Not even super cute puppies.  So I'll need to find a home to keep him at in the Strasburg, VA area that night and then his transport to leave the next AM.  Run sheet follows.  If anyone is in the area and can help, please let me know - I'd really appreciate it!

  • Ronni, google kennels in that area and start calling.  Someone will help with the dog relay by providing a room for the night.  I'm sure of it.  I did that once when I transported the poodle-boy.
  • Thanks Beth!!  I'm kind of leary of putting him in a kennel since he's still so young.  He'll have all his vaccinations by then, but he's still awful little.  I had a bad respiratory virus go through the house a couple weeks back and kill 5 of the 10 puppies.  So, I'm a tad over protective with him.  Last resort I may sneak him in the hotel in my purse.  But don't tell anyone!
