Saturday AM
  • Thought I would try a post. Picking up some Amish friends this morning and going to a gun show. Later my brother's girl friend and her friend are coming up to the farm for a bobsled ride. Hope it is not too cold. Well, let's see if it worked
  • How do you post to general chat.  this one ended up in the "spirtual circle"

  • When it says "post location" I don't see "general chat"

  • I was told to go to "news and entertainment" and it will open a box that takes you to general chat.  HOWEVER, to post a new thread it looks like you have to go to the last thread and click on the box on the right that says, "new thread".  That should do it.  Not happy with this new forum.  I see we have lost Studeclunker and his friend.  I will miss the posts.

  • I will miss them too.  Especially Stude

  • Oh ya!  I see the new post button now.

  • Good morning! Glad you all are leading the way on this change! Guess I'll have to take some time today to figure it all out. Everything's good around here, just busier than usual. Taking K to town so she can paint the sign for a local storehouse/thrift store then home to hopefully groom a horse. I need some horse time...

  • I think it LOOKS purdy! I just have to learn to navigate it.

Going to do an estimate. Well, I get to sit there and look pretty.  HAHAHAHA rofl smiley here.

Made banana walnut pancakes for breakfast. Last night we went to an all you can eat buffet. One I'm not overjoyed about and last night didn't do anything to win points. ah well.

I just got tasked with finding curtains.  Oh-kay! I can shop upscale resale!! :) Actually I'd like to find sometihng online. This strange font is... strange. I'm not used to seeing my name capitalized either but... small things. No biggee.

  • Good morning!  DH helped me find my way here :)  Beautiful sunny morning here.  We had rain on Thursday, not a lot but enough to dampen the dust, water the weeds and get a little humidity in the air :)

Your breakfast sounds great, Hunter :)  I made an omelet with bacon, mushrooms, potato and spinach, topped with mozzarella.

Going to Temecula for a Puppy Raiser outing in a bit.  Airess is such a good girl :)  We all went to a high school comedy competition last night and she just tucks herself under the seats and sleeps during all the noise and loves all the attention at intermission :)

Hoping to get in a ride later.  Hubby bought another truck, a 2003 Dodge Ram 2500?  for me to use to pull the horse trailer and eventually replace our other truck.  The fuel injectors on our  Chevy Dually are going out again..... will cost about $3000 to replace where the  "new"  truck was only about $6000 and won't ever need those replaced.

Going to the Horse Expo tomorrow morning to look at mare motels and fencing.  Our refrigerator (basically new) needed some repairs and because they were unable to fix it, they refunded our money.  It still works well other than not being able to adjust the temp in the freezer (which is frozen just fine) so we're spending the refund check on pipe corral fencing to completely surround the horses :)  Some of our fencing is the original chainlink with electric fencing on it to keep them off of it but not ideal.

Well, gotta run but glad to be back!

  • Aw, Stude :( I hope you come back, it's a new site and I'm sure the mods are still working on servers and all of that tech-y stuff. Once they fix all of the little bugs, it should run just as well as the old site, even on dial-up. It's a little slow for me too, I have wireless internet, but it's new and still being improved upon. It will take a little bit to get used to all of our shenanigans.

I HAVE to do laundry today, I was going to do it Monday, and didn't do it, I was going to do it Tuesday, didn't do it, Wednesday I didn't have time, I was going to do it Thursday, nope, I was going to do it yesterday, still nope. I have to do some today, preferably my clothes today, I'm running out of clean things to wear.

Dixie has a vet appointment tomorrow for her ear, finally, I hate it when the snowbirds are here, you can't do anything and driving to the mall almost always includes either being in an accident or witnessing one. -angry face- Luckily, I made Dixie an appointment a week before Chesters ripped out his back claws so he didn't have to wait to get help. But poor Dixie, it doesn't seem to bother her but it looks like it should.

Ah, I'm procrastinating, I need to get started on the laundry

    Have a great day everyone

  • Well luckily the newest posts show at the top so we should be able to find  ourselves : ) fairly easily?

I'm not sure how this all works either but we'll figure it out together.

Just came in from a ride with Pilot. Sarcee did well but she does get worked up if you allow her to. Jet is having some sway back trouble. Pilot isn't the lightest rider so I got the new circle Y pad for him to use.  It seemed to help with lots of adjusting. Plus they are all round bale fat. Luckily Jet's other riders D  is teeny and B is skinny.

B wants to come ride tomorrow so I'll probably take Tex.

70* today and 75* tomorrow  then back into the deep freeze.

  • BTW Dana what kind of fridge?

  • How old is Jet now?  Does Turner enjoy riding him?  I wish I was there. :( I have to say I love my job here. My Teddy has a vet appt for Monday. I might go in to work in the morning and take him with me then get him to his appt at 1 and go home from there.

Atlanta is a HUGE place. Our place is very close to that Hindu palace place. Lilburn. We just found the coolest park and took the dogs. This morning Teddy swam across the creek and ended up in the next neighborhood. grrrrr Some little old lady caught him and was sitting in a chair holding his collar when I got there. lol

  • Jet and Tonto are 16 and Sarcee is 14. The CY built-up pad seemed to help. He enjoys Jet. They "discuss"  most of the time but he needs to move onto Tex after I get some more miles on him.  It is soon time to start Chica.

Any long weekends coming up? It is almost riding season.

  • I'll keep an eye out for long weekends. I confess. I read Jet and thought Tex. I had a black cat named Jet and I've always had a hard time thinking of Jet as.... Jet. Tex would make a good Jet. (Go ahead, Beth, confuse yourself again) :/
