Reilly, the Connemara gelding being boarded here on lay-up for a mystery lameness in his hinds went to a vet who is a lameness specialist.  They did over a 5 hour eval including x-rays, ultrasounds, nerve blocks, etc. and he finally has a diagnosis of suspensory tendon lesions on both hinds in several places.  He also has a very sore back with severe atrophy.  Poor horse.  So, he is going in next week and starting plasma and bone marrow injections into the sites the found.  It is expensive but his owners are willing to give it a try since he is only 14 and such a good boy.  Poor thing came back so worn out he was shaking but he has recovered and every morning takes off galloping when I turn him out.  He better enjoy it because once he has the injections, he won't be on turnout during the day :(  Hoping it works!
