] BUT you shouldn't feel that heat being generated by sweating....or something like that. Still, it's VERY smart to cool a horse out completely!! Check the chest, even around the "between the legs" area in back. If you can hose, that's good if you start on the legs and gradually adjust them to the cold water if they are really hot. But it's not really necessary, but it gets them clean and helps them enjoy rolling all the more. [&:] Why not let him graze in the shade a little while you hold the lead line. Catch a breeze, cool off.... make him love you even more. [

ETA: walking is really best if he's real hot, imo
