DANG!  Bermuda is hay of choice around here!  All varieties including some pretty upper crust, patented stuff,  Vaughn's.  The really best growing stuff is fescue but, of course, it'll make a mare "slip a foal".  That's redneck for "miscarry", I think.  Pardon if that's the phrase everywhere.  I've only heard it with a Mississippi accent.   I planted some fescue in my pasture.  I'm not breeding anything.  I know fescue also messes up milk production, too, but it's darn hearty in this really hot climate.  (so says the Ag people)  AND if you remove the bacteria that causes the problems, the hay isn't as hearty so... it works together.

I don't feed corn.  ADM low NSC, Forage First stuff.....
