Hello everyone!
I'm Brittney, I'm 18 and I work at a local horse rescue. I am adopting a smokey black paint yearling from the rescue.
A little story on her:
-She came to the rescue last Nov. along with 3 other foals from a run down PMU ranch in Canada. One of the foals, a handsome buckskin paint got adopted before they even came and a black and white paint 2 year old was just adopted this summer. When they first came in, they were all untouchable. They would run to the other side of the pen if someone came near and they really didn't want anything to do with us for at least a month. I started to work with them and they finally got used to people being around. The girl I'm adopting was the first one to let anyone pet her all over, halter her, groom her, lead her. To top it all off I was the person to do these things. Though I have worked with horses many times before, she is the only one I have really felt such a strong bond with. She has taught so many things about her and also about me. To say the least, she has changed my life and the way I look at things. She is my everything. I wasn't going to adopt her at first but when a serious adopter came out one weekend I knew right then and there that she had to be mine. Tomorrow we'll be starting Clinton Anderson's Lunging for Respect.
Without furthur ado, here is my soon to be yearling, Leyla!
