  • The kids got to ride from the fairgrounds to the school...

  • Sorry, don't know how to post multiple pics in one post, or add text:.but the pic above is my two kids (pink and cream straw hats) w/kids from Portland who had ridden in the wagon for two days.

Now on to pics of my kids on Purdy:

  • Fun to share the pics. If I'd shared them on other, unnamed horse message boards I would have been  inundated with nasty posts about how hideous and deformed my horse is, how dangerous a wagon train is, how stupid I am for not being able to post multiple pics in one post, etc. and so forth.

    I love this place.

Purdy's not a beauty, but by golly she's sound as a dollar, tracks staight, and tolerates the kids clamoring around her.

I rode her the other day, wish I had a pic...I'm over 200 lbs and was well mounted. She doesn't put a foot wrong.

This is my mare...in jail for the day with the kids....this is when she wasn't trying to dig a hole under the gate or pull it down by reaching up as high as she could and grabbing the fence and yanking on it with all her strength to pull it down...she was okay once we moved where she could see us riding. It was when we were saddling the horse out of sight that she freaked out:

  • And one more...my daughter leading her horse around, she thought that was the ***...

Hey, I think I figured it out..wait, no, don't know why it's sideways, it's okay on my thumbnail..

    Crap, let's try it again:

    Ok, let me try again...

Holy moly, I got it. Wish I knew how to delete the dumb ones.

  • Ok, I didn't get it...let's try again. Sorry, folks, trying to figure t his out:

  • Well that's weird. It looks good from where I'm copying it. Have no idea why it's not translating.

But you get the idea. At least you do if  your head sits at about 90 degrees from your neck.
  • Hey, they look okay when I leave and come back. Go figure. Let's see if I can find some more...

Shortly before bailing off because his horse was not liking the big flappy things, during our county fair parade.

The guy did a good job with his hoss though. I've seen worse. He was throwing candy. I had to run out and keep a toddler from running under him as he was getting his horse under control.

That's my girl riding on her own. She's ready for a trail ride.

    turning

And turning again.&nbsp';P'urdy wasn't wanting to turn right when she got to my end. My girl was looking at me when she tried to turn her at my end, and not where she was going. But she figured it out.

    And heading back.

I know what you mean, I've been to other message boards like that too.  I think your Purdy is beautiful and if you trust her enough to let her haul your kids around she's worth her weight in gold.  Great pics
  • Great pictures! Thanks for taking the time to figure out the pic thing and posting all of them on here. The kids all look so cute!
