It has been forever!
  • So I haven't been on here in ages!
Hunterseat (Beth) came for a visit and inspired me to get back on the forum : )

Some of you know about Rum, he's my Dutch Warmblood/Thoroughbred event horse that I've had for 2 and 1/2 years now, we bought him as a 5 year old and he had been a foxhunter. I've been bringing him along the past few years and he has come so far! Hunterseat actually did a lesson on him and did a wonderful job!! They worked very well together, I'm sure she will post the pics soon.
I'm about to start a new journey off to college in August and will be going pre-med!

The picture is me with my boy on our Two year Anniversary!
He got quite the special cake : ]

  • Its good to see you again!!!  I'm sure Beth enjoyed herself greatly.  She was so looking forward to this trip I'm glad she is having fun.  How are you?  Pre Med hu...Wow you go girl.  I sure couldn't do it, never could stand school but if it were a school with Buck Brannaman or perhaps the late Ray Hunt I could have studied my whole life without a peep of complaint!!

Wonderful!  I'm so proud that you are still going to school.  Come back and see us more often!  Most all of us "old folks"  just joking, are here in the morning and late evening.  We still love pics and your boy looks so happy to have his cake!
  • I hope Beth enjoyed it! Mom really loved seeing her for more than like 10 minutes, haha.
And yes pre-med, at an all girl's school so no Buck or Ray to look at but it will be good for staying focused! I'm very excited!

And yes, Rum was so excited about his cake, he shoved his face into it, shook the cake around, and then got icing all over my down jacket. Oh horses are wonderful!

This photo is us at Virginia Horse Trials last fall, he was quite the rockstar that weekend!
  • I LOVE your horse, love your trainer, love your mom, love the bunkhouse, LOVE how good boy was around such a purdy girl!  [':D']  You were such a joy to be around L!  Thanks for having patience with an old lady!  It was a wonderful lesson.  It's so hard to explain that I learned so much and spent most of my time trotting, but that's the truth!!  Great workout.  I rode again the next day and I can REALLY feel those half halts!  [':D'][':D']  I just LOVE that area and of course, the food was fabulous! [';)']  Hugs to your folks.  I'm going to try to call your mom today when I get to NH.  I have to wait till I get home to post pics. [:-]  (I miss my Carmy but Muffin was a great stand-in!)
  • Awh YAY!
Trainer Beth said she hoped you enjoyed your lesson. It was such a joy to meet you and "boy" I enjoyed getting to meet you both and spending our time together was great!! You are NOT an old lady, you're just as lively as a teenager : )
I hope you have a safe trip back and post pics as soon as you can!
  • Yes it was nice seeing Beth for more than 10 minutes. Wish I could have taken some time off of work to take Beth and her son around, definitely next time! At least she got a ride in and knows we were not exaggerating about how awesome a horse Rum is...........

It was a lot of work to get the cabin habitable but it was worth every bead of sweat!
  • Aw! It's so great to see a pic of him! ':)'
  • I told myself I would post pics this weekend but.... I have drill at the base... [&o]

BUT [':D']  I'm going to post a pic!!!

I'm just so&nbsp';p'icky about pictures it takes me so long to be happy with my editing/cropping.  Here goes....but just one!!!
  • AAGGGHHH!  I can't stop!!!  Okay, I gotta log out now.  I'm going to do one thread about the trip but DANG this boy is gorgeous!!!
