Hey there everyone. I finally got the camera back yesterday and got the pictures downloaded that we took last week. Here's a few shots of my friend's place in Anderson Ca:

This is looking west along the driveway (to the left of the shot).

Standing in the same spot and looking south toward the house and garage. That's me getting bottles ready for the Girlies.

Is this fabulous or what?

The potential here is through the roof!

I can picture a full 100X40 M Dressage court on the left and an exercise arena on the right... maybe a bull-pen as well.

Neat little barn, eh? She has hair sheep... Dorper, I think they're called? Neat sheep. The place used to be a combination horse farm and Greyhound training facility. There's a kennel attached to the garage.

Nice place for training horses. All I have to do is talk the owner into letting me do so. The place needs a few things that are thankfully not too very expensive to construct and install. All one has to do is... well, do it.

Pretty neat! Lots of flat, useable land and trees for shade! So is this near you so you could go there to work your horses or what is the plan?

Anderson, Cottonwood, Churn Creek Bottom...all great places to have "horse" property. [ ';)'

You're quite right DG. That is if one can take extreme temperatures. Once it gets over ninety degrees my body shuts down. I can't think, work, or function. Most of this is because I'm sweating like a lawn sprinkler and constantly drinking fluids. The biggest problem is that I can't differentiate between ninety-five degrees and a hundred-five. They're the same to me. Thus, Redding and surrounding communities are not an option for residency. Pity, because you are right, there are some wonderful areas thereabouts. I especially like Oak Run. Anderson (on the west side) and Happy Valley are both really nice as well.

I live about fifty miles from this place. I'm sure the owner would let me bring down my RV and spend the night from time to time. During the summer would be a booger though. I won't pretend to like the temps down there. Still, that's where the work is and I'd need a place to do so. Happy Valley at least cools off at night.

Also, our club needs a facility we can meet at from time to time. We would like to get a number of people down for clinics and certification from the American Driving Society. We're thinking of sponsoring some 4-H kids and seeing where that might take us. Still, we need a facility within driving distance, has parking, and is affordable. This one fits all the requirements. Presently though, the place will need considerable work before any of that can be accomplished. All I have to do is convince the owner she is willing to do it.
