I am so happy with my garden... pics of the sunflowers

• 4myquarter Posted : 7/18/2009 2:57:57 PM nice sunflower. what do you do with the seeds?   Good question.  I haven't a clue.  This is my first year to grow them.  I am just keeping my fingers crossed the birds don't eat the seeds first.  Then again, that might not be entirely bad.  The drought here is very bad and the wildlife is doing everything they can to survive.  So many of us here have put out water troughs for the deer, birds, bunnies, well everything .. and our tomatoes are getting eatin alive.  I think the birds are trying to get the moisture and food from them.  We had to build a cage with a net over those.  What a year.  Hoping for rain!!!
