Decorating the guest room

• Catchadream Posted : 7/16/2009 9:22:19 PM I'm not sure what to do with it.  It's been used for the storage the last couple years and we're getting ready to redo it.  We'll be ripping out the broken wood paneling and putting drywall up.  The carpet needs replaced, as well.  But after that, I have no idea what to do with it.  It's pretty small and the ceilings are really low... • SecondChance Posted : 7/18/2009 8:49:34 PM if it is just the 4X8  sheet type of paneling,  you can just drywall over it.   mark the wall studs on the ceiling with pencil,  then use a plumb bob to use as a guide to putting the screws in the drywall.   if you never mudded drywall.  use a few light coats instead of thick coats will save your arms sanding the joints.   And keep using wider troughs as you fill in the joints.    I saw one guy us a 3ft. piece of metal stud to do the joints on a ceilling.    They use flat paint on ceilings for a reason.  LOL LIKE Like Share You have posted to a forum that requires a moderator to approve posts before they are publicly available.
