R.I.P. Broken A Ranch - You will be missed
  • I know I haven't been on in a quite awhile, but thought I would pass on to everyone that we lost a special member on New Years day.

Broken A Ranch passed away on Sunday. Please keep her family in your prayers as they struggle to get through this difficult time. Broken A Ranch - (Liz) was a kind and wondeful lady, and a very knowledgable horse person. She shared lots of information with us here.

If you are friends with her on FB, you can get more info there. :(
  • I just read this on another forum. This is so hard to believe. I am friends with her on FB. I am at work now, so I can't get on FB. This awful news makes me feel sick.

    CG, thanks for posting this.
  • I heard of this on Facebook. Just so sad that a wonderful person's life was cut way too short.
  • I started a thread down in the Spiritual section too.  If i find any thing out, I will post it there.  I understand that she will have several horses to rehome.  a couple kittys and dogs, too.  A few people have voiced that in lew of flowers, that they might make a donation to help with the cost of rehoming (transport, health papers, needed shots, etc)

this is all very sudden and the family has much to process.
  • I was going to reply in the Spiritual section thread but that's not possible so.....
Liz was such and adventurous entrepeneur.  She told me she once threw a dart at a map and ended up moving to Nevada.  Not content in her home state of California she went where she pleased and lived life like she wanted.  Many of us could learn from that because life is truly too short.  She was living in Wyoming and decided to move her paint horse breeding program to TN.  She didn't have enough money to move all the way there so she settled for Missouri. [':D']  I got the chance to spend a couple of days with Liz while helping her make that move. What a great hearted soul.  She won the hearts of all she encountered.  The two dogs I met were wonderful, personable and well behaved canines.  I think their names are Blue and Bear (not sure about the Bear). This comes as a shock and I know there are questions to be answered.  She was a bit of a loner so I'm so glad she wasn't alone at the end.  Love ya Liz.
