Oh Hunter what a cutie! I always said terrible 2's teriffic 3's. But now with the grandaughter(will be 3 in July) I see it all as very very cute. What joy they bring to our lives.
Have fun with him and enjoy every second of it.

Has he conquered potty trainin yet?  I heard it is harder with boys.  I have 2 girls, tho they are WAY past the potty trainin stage.  I have a 7 year old gonna be 8 in October, and a 13 (OH NO!  TEENAGER!  RUN!!!)  goin on 21 year old (just kiddin, but she is REAL adult.  I embarrass her when I put straws in my nose and pretend to be a walrus.)
 
My kids wudda swatted their own butt.  I didn't spank (tho I would threaten, they never believed me.)  I was more diabolical.  I take away what they like......  Then I didn't break my own rules (don't hit.)

He is so cute, Trainer!  My girls would love to babysit him if you were nearer, for free!  They're all in that baby/toddler crazy phase   Glad you are enjoying him and seeing the good in him   What a character.  I remember there were days when I wondered what they were living on, where they got all their energy.  Little air ferns!!  Thanks for sharing!

Yep he is my big boy now.  He woke up last night quite upset and I was sure he had an accident but when I got up here he was just angery that he had to wake up and potty.  I carried him down and back up, put him in his bed, he waved "ni, ni" and was out again.  Wish I could fall asleep that fast.
 
Today was so busy he got really aggrivated with me on several occasions and what with the being so tired he just seemed to be in a whole lot of trouble all day.  He seems to test more on these kinds of days.  Tell him not to get into the ice chest (graduation party) so he sidles right up to it and looks me in the eye whilest dipping his fingers in the icy water.  Little stinker.
 
 

Soooo sweet.  You better treasure those moments.  Those little arms around your neck are the best thing in the world, then they become snotty teens who would never DREAM of huggin you.  Well, maybe if they just got a cellphone, and no one was watchin.  Kinda glad I had another one to still be in the 'Mommy is cool' stage.  She'll lose it come 13 or 14.[&:]
 
My oldest used to be in bed, and I would think she was asleep, and she would start to hollerin for me, only for me to show up in the doorway after shes layin there yellin Mommy Mommy Mommy and then say 'I love you.'  And I am about panic striken and panting.   She did it just enuff to keep me on my toes.  And you say thru near-gritted teeth "I love you too.  Now sleep tite!"
 
Now she's 13 and I never hear 'I love you,' (sigh)

You have to post to see the pics? What the heck! I can only get a very miniature picture to show up. I am at work, so don't know if I can see them better when I get home or not. I guess I will just have to wait and see. Maybe if I get a magnifying glass, I will be able to see the dimples. Hmmmm. Dang it!

Matthew is adorable!

Oh my goodness... he is growing up so fast! What a joy it is to watch. 

Spanked his own butt huh... well, I guess he is just trying to show you he knows what he is getting... and it is just a little pat on the hinny. He was just trying to save you some time... Mooommmm! come on, don't you know that!!!???

He look's a lot like you. But I think I have only ever seen one picture of your husband and that was his back on a trail ride. ( down the long dirt driveway) Does he look like him too?

Let me tell you, as I'm sure you have already learned, at this age kids are full of it! They have energy streaming from every orface and we spend hours chasing them correcting them, playing with them, enteraining them, encouraging them, loving them...And the rewards are great.

Then when they get older the kids are still full of it. But at this time they take the lessons they learned when they where younger and test them. Trying to figure out for themselves if parents really do know best. At that time it drains us also. But no longer because of all the physical energy it takes to keep up with them... but because of the emotional energy it takes to now let them figure it out on their own. 

Enjoy those hugs, kisses, those cockeyed grins. Take lots of pictures and enjoy every second of it. Yes they grow up, you have more time to yourself.. and you miss you baby. This is a gift. Keep enjoying it. Next potty brake smile to yourself and hug him close when you take him down the stairs.... and remember... you can always blackmail them later. lol
