    I love some of their stuff.  (it's a band from the... um.... 70's)

    Boulder skies..... When I think about Colorado...  Plus this stuff was out when I was at my wildest and most self-destructive but....  A lifetime ago but I still love this music.  I don't know if the link will work.  This site has some good stuff on it.
     
    I feel like I've posted about this song before.  I remember looking for it.  It's not on youtube.  Anyway - I love it.

    Yep.... I used to love em. Best known for that song "Amy."
    Do you know who the lead singer was??

    I LOVE that song!!  Didn't know about Kenny Rogers!  Didn't they do "Afternoon Delight" too?

    I tended to shy away from the commercial stuff so Amy wasn't my favorite song but she IS one of my favorite people!  [':D']

    In 1979, he accompanied a friend to audition for Pure Prairie League, mostly out of curiosity as to whether they remembered his high-school band, and they wound up hiring him as their lead singer. Gill recorded three albums with the band, helping them land a Top Ten pop hit with "Let Me Love You Tonight," and also began writing songs for them.

    Huh.  Wonder why "Band" doesn't look highlighted?  Anyway the couple who wrote this also wrote "Take me Home Country Roads", a song I love because it talks about the mountains in my home state, even if it's the OTHER side of the mountaing in the OTHER Virginia. ':)'  ALSO, they had a short TV show that David Letterman was on!  Holy Cow!  I'm going to look up something about THAT!  (I'm not using my day off very wisely.) [>:]
    Okay, I just tried to listen to the song.  Can't do it, man.  Just can't do it.  I don't see anything about Letterman on the show...
