We have warm temps but no moisture to start pastures.
I have been giving grain in the mornings to supplement for lack of grass.
Shedding is in full swing.
Hay prices are crazy. I don't use them for horses but round bales are $165.
We keep a few for cows in the winter but they finished the last one a week ago.
The cows have more pasture than the horses.
