Thursday is here and so am I
  • Finally back.  I have been a widow (odd word to use describing myself) for three weeks now.  Thank you all for your love and care. Today I will meet with the Pastor who will lead the memorial service for Cal on the 30th.

For those who have faith, I want to assure you that Cal had deep faith in the Lord and was assured by an encounter that his salvation was secure.  He had been in the hospital so much.  Died in there once (although he said twice) and still tried to survive.  The blessing is he is no longer struggling.  The sorrow is that after almost thirty years, he is missed.

I am taking things one day at a time.  Slowly making headway.  I will attempt to read some of what I have missed on the forum.  Many friends here and I care for all of you.

    Thank you for your prayers.

  • Very glad to hear you're getting on alright Connie.  One day at a time and keep in mind, it's just so long for now.

Well, the weather forecast for last night was thirties with intermittent rain.  We had downpours replete with hail for several hours followed by snow.  I woke to a beautiful, fluffy snowfall this morning.  Almost white-out from time to time.  I was supposed to go to the Senior Distribution in Redding and since I couldn't see the house (about a hundred feet from my coach), decided not to.  That was at six am.  It quit snowing two hours later and segued to rain.  Still raining (happy dance!)!   Hopefully April is as wet as March was dry.

Very short on money this month.  Just squeaking by, but I think it'll be okay.  Have to scare up a little cash to buy propane as I'm out.  It's going to be in the twenties tonight.

Hope everyone has a great Thursday!

  • Good to see you back Connie. Stay strong and you have my thoughts and prayers.

Heading off on a long weekend of camping with 2 grandkids and their parents. Supposed to be rainy weekend, hopefully we will dodge most of it. Was supposed to get storms yesterday afternoon and never saw a drop. That happens a lot around here. Right now rain fall for the year is a smidgeon above average so we can skip some for now.
