Yesterday's dental was an extraction of the broken tooth.
Interesting process starts with sedation. of course.
Then a scope to see what is necessary.
Then a nerve block with a very long needle near the eye.
For an extraction the back of the broken tooth has to be cut away very carefully.
More sedation as there is a large vein very near.
Cutting away the back of the tooth allows for room to grasp the tooth and wrench back and forth without breaking it.
A long process but finally the giant tooth comes out roots intact.
It went as well as possible.
However because of the duration of the extraction a reconstruction will have to be done on another tooth at another time.
That is also a long procedure to be done in about 8 weeks.
We like Dr. Moore very much.
I am glad this half is over.
3 more days of pain pills and 4 more days until I can ride her.
