Friday Frying

Heat advisory for today and tomorrow.
Some relief coming Monday with a cold front. ; )
High of only 90* and chance of rain.

I have been feeding hay morning and evening.

Tonto and Sarcee went to vet on Wednesday.

Tonto for his overdue final check on his eye that we did cryo surgery on.
Dr. Matt was over the moon how well it came out.
Just a small spot on third eye lid that is possible scar tissue.
Need to keep an eye on that spot.
Glad I spent the money to take care of it.

Sarcee has a cracked tooth we had planned to X-ray.
Dr. Matt decided X-ray not necessary. Yay.
He touched up her teeth so as not to aggravate it.
And we will be mindful of it going forward.
We wanted to be sure it wasn't the possible cause of her colic.(not grinding enough)
She will be on alfalfa for the duration.$
Good news is Dr. approved breeding her if I wanted to in the future.

Not frying here, just par-broiled.

Got Socks out before it was too hot. Good as gold, per usual. I took him out back for a cool-down walk. He stopped and looked at Breezy and Jack's burial place. Just stood there a moment looking at it and gave a soft nicker. Then he put his head down to eat grass. Silly boy. He remembers.

I finally got the crossover brake line for my right front on my Studebaker station wagon. Decided to see if I can get the old girl going. She doesn't need as much as my truck apparently does. How I'm going to get my trailer moved from Al's place (hopefully my future work shop) I don't presently know. Maybe I can get my Stagecoach driving, burger shop owning friend to help me. He has a truck for it. That is if the old man I purchased i t from hasn't gotten impatient and sold or demolished it. This world-wide con job has been a pain in the patootie.

tomorrow is supposed to be 110.
