Ah, the chicken coop... I'm thinking of expanding the fly space for ours. There's a gap between the Arena-Pony-Play-Paddock and the Pony Pens that is rather sharply sloped. No problem for the hens though. I'm considering building a light framework for a wire top on it and just let them have all of that as a play-pen, sort of kinda thing. They would be able to get some grass and green goodies out there. They would keep the grass down, and likely have a great time doing it. A win/win situation. Nothing better than happy chickens. #;~D
The rain is just pouring down today! Great for the yard and garden, if a little rough. However, since we don't have gutters it's kinda beating up the garden box under the living room window. I think I'll put an awning under that window and build a cattery so that the kitties can get out and look around. It might be fun to build two as Jmebear's bedroom window faces out that wall too. Nothing better than happy, active kitties! #:~D That way with both windows open we would get fresh air from the front and a great place for kitties to play!
Took the old man ('58 Chevy Pickup) to Fawn Lodge to do the needed engine replacement. I might replace the rear-end and make the thing do freeway speeds. That would be fun! Can't wait to get it and Bess ('56 Studebaker Station Wagon) going again. Bess is just this close to being ready to go.
IHSS may reinstate Jmebear's household help, so that should help us a lot. They pay decently and I have to be here anyway. I would get twenty hours a week and what with my Social Security my income would be fairly decent. We'd be able to get a few things more done around here... #;~) We shall see... Don't want to count those chickens till they're hatched.
Ah, the rain quit (for a little while) Think I'll go out and move the Horse trailer back into its place again.
