Last year had scheduled a camping trip with my brother and his wife for this upcoming weekend.
4 months ago my brother was diagnosed with lung cancer. A week ago Sunday got the call that the treatment did not work and the cancer had spread. He had maybe 6 weeks to live. He had cancelled his part of the camping trip back in early August. We were still going. Anyway, cancelled our trip and scheduled a place near him in NC. Got a call yesterday that if I wanted to have a chance to actually talked to him we needed to get up their fast. Changed camping dates and we are heading out today. Hoping to be ahead of the mandatory evacuations from the coast.
