Banana pudding
  • Dana I saw your hubby likes banana cream pie. He will love this?
This is what I ask for instead of birthday cake.

Ingredients 1 (14 oz.) can Eagle Brand® Sweetened Condensed Milk
    1 1/2 cups cold water
1 (4-serving size) package instant vanilla pudding mix
2 cups (1 pint) heavy cream, whipped
    36 vanilla wafers
3 medium bananas, sliced and dipped in lemon juice

Instructions Whisk sweetened condensed milk and water in large bowl.
Add pudding mix. Whisk 2 minutes or until well blended.
Chill 5 minutes. Fold in whipped cream.

SPOON 1 cup pudding mixture into 2 1/2-quart glass serving bowl.

Top with one-third each of the vanilla wafers, bananas and remaining pudding.
Repeat layering twice, ending with pudding mixture.
    CHILL thoroughly. Garnish as desired.

For individual pudding desserts, prepare mixture and layer in dessert dishes.

OK that should be easier to read.

I always like to add a couple extra bananas. [;)]

  • Sounds great and simple to make. Could you make this recipe in one large dish, instead if individual ones? What size dish would you recommend? Thanks....

  • Dolphin,

    2 1/2-quart glass serving bowl.

I edited the post so it is more decipherable.
  • My mom used to make this, I think.  Is the recipe from the Nilla Wafer box?  Need to find something that is a good gluten-free substitute.......  I adore Nilla Wafers ':('

Thanks for sharing.  I'll have to make it for him and my youngest soon.

He's not a big cake fan, likes pies better.
  • Thanks DaneHaven! I'll be sure to print off the recipe and try it soon.....
  • Is the recipe from the Nilla Wafer box?

No, it is from the evil eagle brand people.[>:]
