Getting rid of foxtails......

• danastark Posted : 6/6/2010 2:52:55 PM We have had a terrible crop of foxtails growing on our new property with all the rain we got this winter.  Does anyone know how you go about getting rid of them?  The horses are OK w/ them for the most part but the poor dogs!! It's almost impossible to keep them mowed down, cuz it always seems to rain right when you need to go out again. I might try spraying next year. I think they're worse than ever, my whole front yard is almost ALL foxtails!!  They're evil!! I have dogs too, I actually built them a smaller run just to get them away from the foxtails, and if any sprout up its small enough where it's actually managable, the front yard is a lost cause!!!
