  • Yesterday our beloved horse Pastry finally gave up his fight and left us. He was just 6 y o thoroughbred, but he´d been abused (lost a lot of weight, you could count his ribs and he had no vaccination or such a things). We´d had him for two months, first he got better, but the last week it was much worse, he had at least two colics and we couldn´t help him anymore.

    Shame on the people that could destroy such a young horse. I´ve never seen any stallion behaving so friendly and calm, he didn´t deserve this.


  • I'm so sorry.  It's so touch-and-go when trying to help a starved horse.  Very heartbreaking and frustrating for you, I'm sure.  Bless you for giving him love.  I don't see how horses can be so gentle and trusting after all we put them through.  [':(']
    Here's my Bullwinkle after previous adopters got through with him.  Amazing he survived.  He was at the ASAP farm during the first month and a half of recovery then came here.
