Anyone familiar with this saddle maker?

• KD4ResQ Posted : 6/1/2009 6:09:52 PM I recently inherited an old saddle that I am curious about.  It is stamped simply "Carmel  Fresno, Cal" and "982".   I tried doing a web search and did see another one that was for sale, but nothing about the saddle maker.  It has an interesting Aztec design.  Because it belonged to our late nephew, I just want to know as much about it as I can.  Does anyone have any ideas? I also have a saddle I just inherited that I'm curious about.  all it has is 'the american' stamped on the latigo keeper, and '1200' behind the cantle on the skirt.
