Charlotte gets quick sometimes, and off balance, I am working with her to correct that. • hunterseat Posted : 7/19/2010 9:45:47 PM Hmmm.... you look really good.  The third video was like a different horse, he was so settled down!  I was in a dressage lesson once (one of only a couple I've ever taken) and was amazed at the effectiveness of the half-halt as she taught it.  The second video I thought you should settle more in your seat, ride more with your seat. Use a half halt.  Try to get him to listen to you before your jump and get him to pace himself the way you tell him to.  He just seems to run with you.  I don't mean that in a bad way.  He seems to know what he's doing but he does it the way he wants to....seems like.   Maybe if you relax a tiny bit more and focus totally and really ride - get him to listen to you.  I really like the way you look with him. • DazzleMe Posted : 7/22/2010 5:39:25 PM She's a pretty strong mare These are pretty old videos... she did used to run with me a TON! But I'm a better rider and she's a better horse now. We just got back from pony camp and whoa what a difference it made. We both had our mistakes pointed out and corrected! We even did a few 3'6" courses. Thanks!
