Hey guys, I've been really busy with Cayden lately. We've definitely improved more in one month here vs at my old barn, which I broaded at for a year and half with Cayden. So I'm super excited were we'll be in a year from now. We've down our gymnastic a week ago, and today we rode in the outdoor arena for the first time since, well exactly a year ago when I trailered her for a lesson. But she was a superstar over all these colorful jumps. And refusals have become less often, so yay! Sadly, I didn't get any pictures of today's lesson. D: The past week, I haven't ridden due to wildfires. We have 54 wild fires and it got so bad you couldn't see the mountains, and basically trapped in my own home for five days.>.> So today would be our first ride since Monday. I was rather expecting her to be super fresh, but no, she was super lazy.xD The horse show got postponed to Oct. 6th due to the smoke (it's suppose to last for like a month). I'm rather glad cause that just gives me more time with Cayden, though I admit, I was looking forward to it, but both my horse and I's health as well everyone elses is more important. At least now I won't have to sweat in my show coat since it's in Oct.xD Oh! Before I forget, we also did our first flying lead changes over poles and omg she's so smooth, like I couldn't even tell.xD Though I'm gonna need some spurs to help me out asking her cause I have weak ankles, and my leg sorta passes her belly by a tiny bit, and puts a lot of strain on them, so yeah. My goal for the next year is to get our lead changes down and to be able to start jumping 2'6 and possibly showing that high as well. Picture and video time! (: (sorry they're really crappy quality, my friend got some good ones last week, but she hasn't posted them yet, but once she does will post them on here so you can how cute Cayden is better.[x)
