Introducing JoJo!
  • JoJo is my 15 year old Quarter Horse Gelding. I was volenteering at a rescue place owned by my mothers best friends. They asked me to work with JoJo, and before I knew it we bonded. They ended up letting me have him for FREE! He has been at my house now for 6 days now and doing great!
  • Here he is again...
  • And again... leg wraps are for the flies, a little rigging with polo wraps but it didn't work very well lol. And of course, he always seems to be airing out his you know what! Dunno why lol
  • another one...
  • HA! I thought this one was kinda neat! All the sunshine around him, he looks like an angel! Bad photography or bad lighting... not sure which lol.
  • My friends mare trying to sneak kissy face with JoJo when she stayed with us for afew days while her momma was out of town. I think he looks a little confused!?
  • He looks great!
Don't you hate it when they're letting "it all hang out" when you're trying to take a picture?  Seems like Reidar is always trying to show off what he's got at the most inapropriate times.
  • Yes, geldings seem to like that.  I've found a few weeks working with dressage and longing whips cures that problem.  After that all one has to say is, "Suck it up!" and it's gone!  POOF!

Yes... I'm mean, terrible, horrible and Rotten!  Just ask my kids!

haha ya, thats a good idea!
  • I just tap Kabarr's flank and say "Put it away".

C&G, is that the horse that really leans on the bit? He's very nice!

Yes infact he is. Ive been working with him and he is getting a little better about it, but still throws his head high at faster gates and he is all strung out and all over the place. Really aggervating! He was rode in a tom thumb bit for a really long time and the girl even gave the rescue place his bridle and bit. I DISLIKE tom thumbs and I am trying to find a bit that can lead up to just a snaffle, however I tried putting him in Gunner's D ring and since it doesnt have a chin strap he has a even tougher stop. I ordered a Kimberwick Bit, which will allow me to still have the slightest of curb, yet almost a D ring and also allows me to have a curb chain on it. I am hoping it will work out better and maybe he will advance out of it into a simple D ring snaffle!
