TLP's life update with pictures
• Well since I have come back to the forum I figured I should update everyone on myself and all the animals and what kind of thread would this be if it didn't have pictures?
Diablo is doing great, he is ten years old now, and not letting it get to him, he is still as ornry as he was when he was six. He turned out really black this year after he shed his winter coat, where as last year he was really red when he shed. I have started feeding oats which has been amazing for his coat he is really shiney and looking great this year.
Magoo is my rescue horse. I rescued him last August from the rescue out here. He is a three year old peruvian paso fino and about 15.1 or 15.2 I think lol. Some people say he is a roan, some say grey, someone said grulla once to me and i wanted to slap them. I lean towards grey cause its easier to say to non-horsie people but once you get closer to him he is a red/blue mixed roan. He was abused when he was a baby, then left with his herd on a dirt lot with no water for only the Lord knows how long.

      Diablo

      little Magoo

Just for referance this is a before picture taken when he was first rescued by the rescue and taken off the lot

The dogs are doing good, Teddy is 7 years old now and getting fatter and grumpier. Bear is 7 too, getting fatter and sweeter, and Koda is 3 and getting weirder the older he gets lol he is brain damaged and kinda goofy sometimes but he's a sweetheart.

Boo(top) and Boots(bottom) lol Boo spends a lot of her time outside nowadays, she doesn't care to be inside but she is a sweetheart and she loves to be loved. Boots is inside all the time, she likes to be loved on but only if its her idea. As you can see she is a pretty big cat lol with lots of fur.

Last but not least would be myself, and i am happy to report that i am doing very very well. I graduated high school and am headed to college in August. I am working to be a book editor, so a lot of English classes are in my future lol. I recently got back together with an ex of mine. We dated at the beginning of my junior year for four months. We broke up and stayed away from each other for a year until a mutual friend kinda shoved us back into each others lives. We are very happy, he is currently in Marine boot camp in San Diego.

This was taken at our high school graduation, then again on a phone so it's funny lookin but thats us [:)]

Thats pretty much everything, I think lol
Hope you enjoyed my pictures!
• Magoo is a cutie!  I'm happy to hear everything is going well for you.  Have fun in college!  I loved college...
• Thanks! College so far is a pain in the butt...I hate it already and classes dont start for another month
• well, I missed this thread!  Your zoo looks great!  Even the jarhead is a cutie! [':D']  Wonder how he looks as an onionhead!  LOL  That's what my D.I.'s called them.  Of course they were all.....  butch?  Can I say that?

Dog picture: left to right as you posted their names?  Is that the same pic as before or do they just regularly sit so nicely for pictures?  They are such cuties!!!

You're a cutie, too!!  I have a book editor!  She has my novel right now.  She'll begin it on Aug.1st.  She's got deadlines to meet with her own writing projects.  We need to all to NaNoWriMo in November!  (.com)

Is the second cat a torte?  If so, they only do things when THEY want to.  Vet techs schooled me on torteshells.  I miss my cats.  Down to one and she's not technically mine so....  She's a mouser so she's welcome.
• lol thanks hunt
yea the dogs usually sit that nice for pictures, yes left to right teddy is the dark one koda in the middle and bear on the other end
No, at least i dont think so...lol not sure what a torte is...
• Magoo is a grey. If he were a roan his head would be dark (whatever his base color is e.g. black, red).

CUTE DOGGIES!!! [':)']
• Torteshell?  I probably  misspelled it.  Like a black calico with no white... Attitude + but cool cats!  It's funny how colors seem to bring personaltiy traits...  strange.
• durango- hmmm....well then idk what his color is...ill have to get an up close picture of his shoulder or something cause he isn't just grey he has flecks of red all over but you cant see them unless you get right up next to him

hunt- oh no she has white all over the place, her paws are white, hence the name boots lol and she has brown and black all over those colors are hard to see in the picture, but she has all the calico colors
• It doesn't really matter what his base color is. All greys are born 'colored' and they turn grey (and greyer [&:]) later. A Rose Grey is usually one that has a red base color. Even pintos or appys can have the grey gene and they will grey out as they age.

Below is from Wikipedia -

Gray or grey is a coat color of horses characterized by progressive silvering of the colored hairs of the coat.[1][/sup] Most gray horses have black skin and dark eyes; unlike many depigmentation genes, gray does not affect skin or eye color[1][/sup] Their adult hair coat is white, dappled, or white intermingled with hairs of other colors. Gray horses may be born any base color, depending on other color genes present. White hairs begin to appear at or shortly after birth and become progressively lighter as the horse ages. Graying can occur at different rates—very quickly on one horse and very slowly on another.
Roan
Some grays in intermediate stages of graying may be confused with a blue roan, strawberry roan or red roan. Some heavily fleabitten grays may also be confused with a red roan. However, roans are easily distinguishable from grays: roan consists of individual white hairs on a dark base coat, usually with the head and legs of the horse darker than the rest of the body. With gray horses, the head is often the first area to lighten, especially around the eyes and muzzle. Also, roans do not lighten with age, while grays always do.

• Yes please.  Better pics!!  Lots of them.  In color.  8x10 glossies with the circles and the arrows and..... oops.... nevermind the glossies....  [':D'

How old did you say that boy is again?  Are you keeping in touch with the rescue??  What did you say you're eating at the station?  peanut butter?  Something strange, no doubt... ':P'
• thats cool, thanks durango!

Magoo is three years old, and I haven't spoken to the rescue in a while, since christmas actually...Yea, i didn't take my peanut butter though I forgot it today.....>.>
