We are in the market for a dishwasher. We got a brandnew LG dishwasher when we moved into this house about a year ago and although it is quiet, which we wanted, it works terribly! Dishes come out still dirty, with residue, etc. on them, have to space them out, run the water in the sink until it's hot before starting it, etc...... our other one was noisy but did actually wash the dishes and didn't require any extra care......

So what do you like?

We got a Bosch when the electric company blew up our appliances. [8D]
Pilot likes it. It is very quiet and conserves water? But we still rinse, I prefer to just wash by hand. I do appreciate it when we entertain.

Not much help here. When Caveman is home, he's the dishwasher. Otherwise, it's me.

I love my dishwashers! The Girls do a good job on most nights ':)'

Before moving here we had a Bosch. It was very quiet and got the dishes clean. If I ever get one here, it'll be a Bosch.

Maytag, JetClean, Super Capacity. I've had it for 15+ years. Does a super job. I just make sure the big stuff is off the plates. Quiet, efficient, still works well. I'm not using it right now because the vinyl on the racks wore through in a few places so I bought some stuff called "Rerack" and am sealing those places up again.

Good to know. We did have a Maytag in our other house that worked well except it was so noisy!

I'm a nerd. Whenever I need something I spend time reading the Consumer's Report. Some people have all their kitchen appliances from the same manufacturer. I buy whatever is the best one for what I need.

Ha! Just took a cruise through my kitchen and laundry rooms. Surprise! My refrigerator, dishwasher and washer/dryer set are all Maytag. My gas range is a GE.

NO CLUE but I appreciate it cuz it works really well. Came with the place. I got one to install in the Memphis house when I upgraded the kitchen but it came as a package deal off Craigslist - all cabinets, dishwasher, sink, stove-top range built-in oven and microwave and countertop: $1200. Fits PERFECTLY. I hope that dishwasher works but heck - it looks good and might help sell the place!
