How do you get past Widgets?

• trainer101 Posted : 7/9/2010 2:27:45 AM Ok I need help from some of you  wiser and most likely younger computer savy folks.  I have been watching the X-files on a site and they have season one through the latest movie for free.  I have been watching for over a month and am now midway through the second season and for what ever reason now I click on an episode and up comes this blasted Widget wanting me to complete a survey and the page will unlock.  Ok I have done about a dozen car insurance things and when it started asking me to download games and complete a survey of "when will YOU die"...I mean come on those arn't even surveys!  I don't understand at all.  I have contacted the website but I doubt they answer back.   My question is this, Is there a way around that Widget? Are you being directed off the site with the movies. to another IP address.   The site you contacted,  Is it the original site with the movies.?   I would definitely delete all cookies and temp files and history that is cached in your computer. Then run your antivirus program to check for trojans and such.     Hunter uses a site to watch movies and such online. maybe ask her if she is/had this problem if it is the same site she uses     FYI:    I use avast antivirus which has been very good and it is free download for home users.     LIKE Like Share You have posted to a forum that requires a moderator to approve posts before they are publicly available.
