Greetings from Maine!
  • Hello, my name is Lori and I live in southern Maine.  My husband and I just started our own horse boarding business.  We currently have a handful of really lovely boarders, who are more like family than clients.  I've been riding and working with horses 10+ years.  I've tried a lot of different disciplines, but I'm most passionate about competitive trail riding and versatility.  I own a 16 year old, 15H bay Quarter Horse gelding named Norbert.  He is the love of my life (besides my husband). ;)  He was trained western pleasure, but he does it all and has the temperament of a saint.  My husband has a 20 year old, 17H bay Oldenburg gelding named Zeke.  He was a Grand Prix level dressage horse in his prime.  Now he just teaches my novice husband the basics of English riding. :)  We also have two Nubian goats (a doe and a wether) and two cats (a 3 year old black female and an 8 month old flame point ragdoll male).  We have a busy household, but we love every day of it!  I've been looking for an online community where I can meet and socialize with other horse fanatics ('cause let's face it, we're crazy about them!).  I'm hoping this is the right place to be!
  • Hi LG,
Welcome a-board. we are glad you are here. [':)']
    I am in Central Texas. (h-o-t & d-r-y)
I have 3 Indian Shufflers. Plus a solid palomino paint and another app. I also have one TW boarder that is leaving in the next couple weeks.

  •     Hi, LG.  Welcome.  Nice to see you here.  We are a pleasant crew and I hope you find us to your liking.
  • Welcome to the forum!  I am out in hot, dry southern California.  We have 5 horses, my 7 yr. old draft cross, 18 hds. and we do trail mostly but some dressage and cross country jumping also; my 15 yr. old's paint gelding, my 13 yr. old's POA gelding, my husband's TB mare we just rescued from a really bad situation and a 3 yr. old hanoverian/TB filly we will be bringing on for the girls to use later.  They trail ride and compete in dressage/jumping.

We also have 4 boarders here, 3 belonging to some neighbors of ours and one that belongs to my riding buddy.
