• DaneHaven Posted : 7/20/2018 1:52:06 PM Trying to get some fun in before it is broiling hot. Pilot was up at the crack'o dawn. So i sent him flying. My friend Amy is coming to ride with me. Maybe go to town for groceries later. I hate going at the end of the week. But Pilot's cousin is coming in for an overnight stay Saturday. The family is coming to target practice on Sunday so I should get some fresh vittles. Everyone be cool! • Connie Posted : 7/20/2018 10:41:24 PM the mares finally have agreed to go down to the pasture.  I had a guy come (he finally came) and mow it with a sickle bar mower.  I waited a few days for the stuff mowed to die and then opened the gates.  They did not go.  I even showed Bella they could.  Finally got smart and stopped filling the hay feeder.  Now they go for grass.  Whisper is glowing.  Hard for me to understand how just a few days on grass can put that shine on her.  I want to ride and will probably ride her. I want my paddock fixed before I ride Bella.  She should be fine, but no sense in being foolish.  Might even wear a helmet.  She seems to love me so I am hoping she takes good care of me. Durango Gramma is moving to AZ.  She sold her place in Oregon.   Wonder if I should relocate to a warmer climate?
