• DaneHaven Posted : 4/18/2025 1:30:08 PM 2 and 1 extraction. Dentist did the 2 fillings to keep from having to do extractions later on. He said he had only seen 1 filling fail in all his years. Much cheaper than extractions as well. Now only fighting to get meds down Tex. He won't eat his feed because he knows there are meds in it. I hope everyone has a lovely Easter weekend. • studeclunker Posted : 4/19/2025 8:20:05 PM I had an Arab who hated Bute.  The Vet was forever prescribing it and no solution on how to get him to take it.  I finally resorted to putting a hose down his throat and blowing the crushed tablets down it.  Had the vet show me how to do it properly.  I tried putting it in his feed and adding molasses.  I would find a neat little pyramid of pill chips in the bottom of his bucket.  Yes, he was quite the smart-ass!  After using the hose three times, he started taking the bute in with his feed.  Or he found a better way of disposing of it. everything quiet around here.  working on getting my flatbed to Fawn Lodge so I can swap engines.  Working on bringing the dead back to life again.
