• DaneHaven Posted : 12/22/2023 1:32:48 PM We have more rain so no riding or horse news here. The week went by too fast. MaderChica left this morning. It was enjoyable. We had a nice early family Christmas. Did a family flea market shopping day. Went to the rhino winery. And yesterday we saw my friend's exotics. Scimitar oryx, black bucks and camels. She has been named "my coolest friend". We had a new heifer calf born on Wednesday morning. Mostly white but a little color. Glad it was a heifer. No name comes to mind yet. We have one more calf due any day I hope it's a heifer also. That will give us 5 breeding cows in time. Our oldest mama will be ready to retire when this years heifers are ready to breed. • face Posted : 12/23/2023 11:44:46 AM Weekend looks good here, Christmas Day not so much, RAIN. Grandkids won't be able to go outside, RATS! We will get at least one ride in Sat or Sun. Will be installing a lockable mailbox this weekend as twice since November someone has gone thru the area checking mailboxes in the wee hours of the night. This has become a big problem in the area long before the Christmas season. At night I put a fake rattle snake in the box to greet anyone in the wee hours of the night. Couple weeks ago I was able to pull a post and concrete out with tractor and not dig new hole for new post. I am hoping to do the same for the new mailbox post.
