Slick Saturday

Today should be the last chance for freezing rain.
I will need to be extra careful getting myself to town and back.
We made it without any significant precipitation to ice over and cause loss of power.
Temps inching up after tonight.

Did some cooking on Thursday.
Fagiole soup, chicken fried steak and Italian sauce.
I wanted lasagne but opted for tortellini with sauce and cheese for dinner last night.
A good substitute and much less work.
I made extra to throw in the freezer for a quick dinner.

Have to roll out and start chores.
It takes extra time with blankets and hauling hot water.

Everyone have a non slick Saturday.

Finally a moment to come back here. Been a busy few weeks. Currently Cal is in ICU in a hospital in Syracuse. He has been there for a week and a half. He had a cardiac ablation and didn't come out of it well. He has had one cardioversion and will have another if they can ever get him regulated. He is now on a med they had him on in November and they know it wrecks havoc with his liver so he has to be constantly monitored. Add in had to have CPR after the ablation which of course broke ribs and then caused him to go on a ventilator and he ihas not only sore chest, messed up vocal chords but also a fib. Not good things. It is an hour away and I only go when his son can take me....that means he takes time off from work. My son that would do it has already returned to his home in HI. Soooo I have been a bit preoccupied.

Will try to read what I have missed here.
