Fancy's abscess became infected and a large portion of her hoof broke off. We did a intense treatment 2 weeks ago where if it rained, she stay in during the day. She stayed in at night and would not allow her out until the dew evaporated. A lot of this was to get her in better shape to handle a week of us not being here to do the care she needed. We fully expected her to go backwards while we were gone, she did not, she actually continued to improve. Infection is gone, no longer sensitive when poking in there. Her hooves are fast growers so hopefully she is now well on her way to full recovery.
Will be adding biotin to her and Apache's diet once it gets off of back order.
