Tuesday Transfer
  • Well the cattle transfer of course did not go as planned.
We didn't get the rain storm but our partner did.
    So we postponed until yesterday.
He called and said he had our cow loaded and was on his way to swap for the bull.

We went to pen up the bull and all the cattle came up and into the pen except Mr Bull.
Imagine that. Of course going out to get a bull and making him do what you want did not work.
So when he decides to pen is when he will leave.

We went to Kville to pick up Pilot's computer and get some plumbing supplies.
It was a bit weird. I think I will make a trip for grocery fill ins before it gets to bad.
Our local store supposedly has caught up and only shortages are rice, beans and flour.

Stude get well wishes for you and pony.

    Everyone please be careful!

  • Ah, best laid plans of mice and men, etc, etc...  I can relate.

We are out of water.  That is to say, the well went dry.  Oh... joy.  Apparently the problem is two fold.  We may have a broken pipe behind the house and the local Pot growers are pulling down the water filling their tanks.  Regardless, it's going to be expensive to fix.

So, no Fawn Lodge for me this week.  Hopefully next week for a few days anyway.  Was worried about the trip and called Shasta and Trinity Sheriffs.  It appears they don't care about Chairman Newsom's edict.  Our wise and beneficent Chairman announced we may not travel and must stay home or face a misdemeanor charge and five hundred dollar fine.  So... can I go home or not?  Apparently so.  We shall see.  Seemingly the edict was aimed at his followers along the coast between San Diego and San Francisco.

    Whatever!

So instead of preparing to go, I'm preparing for digging up a broken pipe, planting a big tank and burying a power feed.

  • Just as moving horses never goes quite as planned, rather, never even close.

Doing our part to help local economy. Friday night was always dinner out. Now we do take out from a local restaurant. Local only, no national chains. Rarely eat at national chains anyway. New roof starts going on house 1 week from Monday, weather permitting.

    SC pretty much shut down.

Work pushed patches to laptop last weekend and it no longer recognizes any network connectivity, so I am dead in the water.   They said it would take at least 27 hours before I came up in the queue, meanwhile 48 hours later....
