Get feed.
I have an appointment in Fredburg first.
Then I will head to the feed mill in Comfort.
Debating on starting the oldsters on senior feed?
Jet and Tonto are both 20 this year. They get twice the feed which is 2 cups.
They also get about twice the hay as everyone else.
Sarcee is 18 but she gets fat on air.
So she and Tex only get 1 cup because they both are on diets.
Maybe I'll see how they get through this winter.
Vet said this last Spring to consider senior feed but he wasn't concerned.
He said Tonto was about right weight. Jet was a bit light and everyone else was fat.
I hate complicating the feed. I like one feed for everyone and just varying the amounts.
Everyone is supplement free at this time except for the feed through fly stuff and boss.
I still feel that fly stuff may be useless and it is expensive?
Sometimes it seems to be helping and other times not.
Okay I have rambled enough. Anyone else have feed thoughts?
We are still in muck pens and hoping to get some partial turnouts starting this afternoon.
