Went camping LAST weekend and while we were gone my sister passed. We knew what was going on and 3 siblings were, "enjoy your trip, don't come home". So we didn't. Our last visit with her was good and she was alert. When I got the call she was in the ER and totally unresponsive and they wanted to know what to do (testing, treatment). I told them to do nothing and they sent her back to his assisted living apartment so she could pass in her own home. When she moved in with us last August I knew she wouldn't make it a year, so not unexpected.
Today we clean out her apartment. My brother and sister who were here when she passed cleaned out all the clothes and small things. We just have the big stuff today and I figure it will be loaded on the horse trailer in an hour. If nobody wants the stuff, off to Goodwill. I refuse to take anything back to storage. My goal is to have her storage unit empty by August. The storage unit has what was in her house, it is jammed packed.
If time allows, will go get my sister (ashes) and allow her to live with us one more time until next Spring when we will take her to Norton, VA will she will reside with our parents.
